TC-AJV (cn 20265/758) Torosair did not spend much on the painting of this 727! It was damaged beyond repair on 25 August 1989 when it struck an ILS antenna 300m beyond the runway end, after takeoff from Ankara. It managed to land safely but never flew again. |

TC-AJV (cn 20265/758) Damaged beyond repair Ankara-Esenboga Airport (ESB), Turkey August 25, 1989. After take off, aprox. 1000 feet. past the runway TC-AJV hit an only five feet high ILS aerial. Luckily she could return savely to ESB and no one of the 165 persons on board got injured. |
