OO-SGB (cn 20402/95) View on the instrument panel of the flight-engineer of one of Sabena's wide-body's, during our flight (SN569) to Mirabel, Canada (CYMX). I was very lucky to be allowed in the cockpit during the flight. Scan from slide. |

OO-SGB (cn 20402/95) The left engines are the older version of the JT9D (notice the open air intakes), while the right has the newer, updated model. |

OO-SGB (cn 20402/95) There was a joke in the 1970s that if you died and went to heaven, you probably had to change at Atlanta. Despite this there were very few International flights with other than US carriers, notably Delta. Sabena was one of the few International operators. The aircraft is landing and seen from the old terminal with the new under construction in the background. |
