VQ-BMS (cn 21649/373) Here she is... the brand new Sands 747-SP... their second in the collection. She was delivered to Pan Am in 1979 as N540PA, wore a couple of different titles for them, then passed on to United in 1986 where she became N149UA, then leased a short time to Tajik air. United took here back in 1994, and soon she was sold to the Brunei government in 1996, where she became V8-AC1. In 1999, Bahrain got here, and she became A9C-HHH. On June 1, 2008, she went to the Sands Corp, where she was retitled VQ-BMS. |
