N746AS (cn 23123/1042) For those of you who are not aware, these -200's operated by Alaska are combi's. Passengers board through the rear door, and there are only about 10-11 rows. At the front, freight is loaded for the more remote areas within Alaska making these and uncoomon sight out of the State although you may see them occasionally at the home base in Seattle. If you look carefully you will just see the large cargo door at the front. |

N746AS (cn 23123/1042) Del 08/28/1984 to Markair as N672MA (Alaska International N144NA -- NTU). Bought by Alaska on 04/08/1994, the aircraft has served the airline well for the past 10 years, but sadly it has now been WFU and stored at MHV, hopefull to operate with another airline in the future. |

N672MA (cn 23123/1042) In 1992, Markair and Markair Express offered competition to Alaska Airlines in the Alaskan market. Having failed to make money, Markair moved to the lower 48 before collapsing completely. One of their rough field fit 737 combis is caught departing off Anchorage's runway 32. This airplane was built for Alaska Airlines but not delivered, taken up by Markair, and then sold back to Alaska when Markair collapsed! (Kodachrome 64 original) |
