Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX)
USA - California, March 14, 2010
Remark
Photographer
RP-C7471 (cn 27261/1005) The unmistakable lines of the 747 chases the last ounces of the California sun. Seconds away from touchdown, the Philippine heavy glides over the threshold, inbound from MNL.

Philippine Airlines
Boeing 747-4F6
Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX)
USA - California, June 2010
Remark
Photographer
RP-C7471 (cn 27261/1005) With the FAA's downgraded Category II rating for Philippine Civil Aviation, neither one of the current fleet's two 773ERs are permitted to operate in the United States; despite being entirely banned from flying in Europe. It must depend on its aging B744 to serve its daily MNL-LAX route. Delivery of four additional 77ERs as well as potentially seeing them operate into LAX will depend solely on restoration back to a Category I rating. Inbound with the setting sun, as PAL102, rwy 24R.
