A97-005 (cn 382-4785) Delivered 8/1978. 36 Sqn. Normally, Australian military serials use the construction number - this aircraft should have been A97-785. Instead, the C-130Hs used Lockheed line numbers, hence this aircraft, line number 7T-0005 carries A97-005. C-130Hs ordered in 1978 to replace C-130As of 36 Sqn. Later painted in wrap-around camouflage. Army Kiowa A17-005 & Shell BAe 125-700B VH-HSS behind. |

A97-005 (cn 382-4785) This Herc demonstrated how much room it needed to land..... not much at all. It pulled up, reversed, and departed again, it was amazing. |
