This DC-8 arrived on April 10th 1976. It flew many charter flights, including many flights from Accra, Ghana to Makkah (Mecca) in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj. But after losing traffic rights, it ceased operations in 1978 and the DC-8 was grounded. It didn’t return to the lessor because it was in unflying conditions, and there it stays until now.
