Orbis Flying Eye Hospital
Douglas DC-8-21
Off-Airport - Datangshan
China, September 7, 2010
Remark
Photographer
N220RB (cn 45280/4) For 5 Yuan one can enter the cabin of this aircraft. This is the seating area when the medical stuff are travelling, it also doubles up as a classroom. Progressing aft is a scrub-up area, the theatre where the eye operations were performed and a recovery room. With only one day and so many planes to see/photograph I could not spend as long inside here as this plane deserved.

Orbis Flying Eye Hospital
Douglas DC-8-21
Off-Airport - Datangshan
China, December 30, 2008
Remark
Photographer
N220RB (cn 45280/4) A close up of one of the engines of the Orbis flying eye hospital, serial no. 4 from the DC-8 line, wow! At the time of the photograph, the aircraft was in a poor state, flat tyres etc etc, but a nice seating area underthe wing for any aviation enthuisast. The only trouble is that it was about -8C [Nikon D3]
