78-0479 / ZZ (cn 459/C012) A near-new USAF F-15C taxies toward the RAAF Wiliamtown Fighter Replenishment Area (FRA) during an Exercise in September 1980. This aircraft carries AIM-9L Sidewinder missiles and three external fuel tanks. This Eagle was from Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan, and she was still based there in 2007. Twenty-six years after this photo was taken, this aircraft performed the F-15 Solo flying displays at the Avalon International Airshow in March 2007. |
