N360AX (cn 46706/38) Here is a photo with all these rare birds, in fact every aircraft in the photo are now gone, except for the JAL B743. This OAI DC-10-10 is seen rotating off runway 22L, and behind her jetblast is a Hawaiian Air DC-10-10 waiting to cross runway 22L. Under the front landing gear of this DC-10-10 is a Hawaiian Air DC-9, which is no longer existing either. So that leaves the JAL B743, which is still happily flying today. In a matter of a few years, so many changes can take place. One of my favorite photos. |

N151AA (cn 46706/38) An attempt to disguise the fact that its former owner was American Airlines has dismally failed. This DC-10 is caught in the searing mid-summer heat of Arizona, waiting for a new life. She started out flying for National and Pan Am as N64NA, and after American spent time with Hawaiian before ending up with Omni Air International as N360AX |
