N569R (cn 4828) Photographed on the viewing terrace at Frankfurt in 1989, this DC-3 had an interesting history. She was built as USAAF 41-20058, and later served with Scandinavian operators DDL Danish Air Lines (OY-DCA), SAS (OY-KLE), Kar-Air (OH-KVA) and Nor-Fly (LN-KLV). She ended up on the Frankfurt visitor's deck in 1976, first as N65371, and later in Nor-Fly livery as LN-KLV. These colours were removed in 1989 and fake reg N569R was applied. Finally, it was moved to Munich in 1993, and it is still there in the colours of Swissair's HB-IRN. |
