G-ANHB (cn 62) A cabin interior of the mid-1950's. BEA's Viscount 701 fleet had a mixture of forward and rear facing seats, as shown in this view looking rearwards down the cabin. Three seats on the port side and two seats on the starboard. Typical seating and net luggage racks with no doors. Ventilators in the cabin sides. All very period! |

HK-3559 (cn 62) After conversion from CV-340 in 2.67, continued to fly for Allegheny (N5820); to Seair Alaska 4.78, Kelowna 9.87 (C-GKFQ) and Evergreen (N580EH) 10.88. Sold to Aerovias Especiales de Carga 2.90 then Aerocar 6.94. My friend Nicky from Switzerland was with me and took the same shot - when his was published in the next JP, they cloned out the 727 behind as it if had never been there - very bad! Aircraft taken by Colombian Army as EJC121 in 8.96 and operated in same basic colours |

5T-CJT (cn 62) We were lucky enough to get three of the Mauritanian Fairchilds through Southend for maintenance. This aircraft, of 1959 vintage, initially served the colourful Bonanza Air Lines (which had a fleet of 11 of the type) as N148L then N748L, being sold on in 7.74 by Hughes Airwest via IAL to Mauritania. She returned to the US in 12.83 and two years later found her way to Aerocozumel in Mexico, taking up the reg XA-NAP formerly used on a Comet 4. Wfu at Cozumel early '90s |
