USA - Virginia, September 9, 2006
Remark
Photographer
164603 / AJ-101 (cn 631/D-36) The VF-31 'Tomcatters' line up to take their final bow. Unfortunately this photo cannot fully capture the sound of the eight GE F110 engines and the atmosphere in the Oceana crowd.

Grumman F-14D Tomcat
Off-Airport - Fort Lauderdale
USA - Florida, May 6, 2006
Remark
Photographer
164603 / AJ-101 (cn 631/D-36) "Felix 101". F-14 demo aircraft (flown by a hometown pilot) for the Ft.Lauderdale Air and Sea Show is making a high speed pass with wings swept back. The aqua/teal coloration on the underbelly of the aircraft is caused by the reflection of the ocean surface that is just out of sight of the picture. Bye bye Tomcat and VF-31 Tomcatters. The RIO is using a small camera to photograph the hundreds of thousands of people on the beach watching the Tomcat.

Remark
Photographer
164603 / AJ-101 (cn 631/D-36) Marked for the Commanding Officer of VF-31. This scheme had been worn by the CAG Bird on a previous cruise as part of CVW-14, although for the final cruise with CVW-8 the CAG was returned to the familiar black tail with large Felix badge.
