PS915 (cn 6S/585121) Spitfire Mk PR XIX in marking of the last operational PR Spitfire PS888 from 81st squadron RAF based at Selatar airport / Singapore in 1954. But this PS915 was delivered in April 1945 to 6 MU and later served with 541st and 2nd squadron. Since 1957 was used as gate guardian at RAF West Malling, Leuchars, Brawdy and since 1984 is a member of Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. |

PS915 (cn 6S/585121) PS915 is seen here landing after a display with the Lancaster and a Hurricane as part of the RAF 90th anniversary celebrations. It wears the PRU Blue & Mid-Sea Grey scheme also used by the RAF during the early fifties on reconnaissance Meteors, Canberras, Hornets & Vampires. The nose marking actually appeared on PS888, the last operational RAF Spitfire, retired at Singapore during the Malayan confrontation in 1954.
