Untitled
Rockwell 695A Jetprop 1000
Shobdon (EGBS)
UK - England, June 29, 2014
Remark
Photographer
M-BETS (cn 96034) The Rockwell 690 is a development of the Aero Commander 500 designed in the 1940s by Ted Smith of Douglas Aircraft, who set up the Aero Commander company with a number of colleagues who’d been involved with the Douglas A-20 bomber, which had the same general configuration. The company was eventually acquired by Rockwell, and production of successive variants continued from 1951 to 1986. This 690 is seen arriving at Shobdon during the 2014 Food and Flying Festival.
