CCCP-76464 (cn 98413) The awful end of proud airliner. Absolutely stupid decision of the East-Line Group caused big public condemnation. They needed more space to build a new parking lot. First they told us that the Tu-114 will be restored. But... You can see the worker with a saw, cutting off a detail in the nose of the plane, and flowers and a memorable photo near the base of the monument, assigned by enthusiasts on the day earlier on the farewell/protesting meeting. Good-Bye, Tu-114! Heavy rain and bad weather... |

CCCP-76464 (cn 98413) Snow covered Domodedovo gate guard. Unfortunately, this beauty was scrapped ruthlessly in August of 2006 due to some mindless plans to expand parking lots at DME. Now only three of the type left - in Monino, Uljanovsk and in Kiev. RIP. |
