17074 / SL (cn EEP42392) The Vampire F1 was the standard fighter variant, this F3 example was the long range version and on July 14 1949 a flight of six 54 Squadron RAF Vampire F3's became the first ever jet aircraft to fly across the Atlantic ocean.The Royal Canadian Air Force - RCAF ordered 150 but only 85 were actually obtained, beeing delivered from 1947 into 1948
