53-8074 (cn KF-177) Another photo from my 1987 AMARC visit, this was a row of five Fairchild C-119L 'Flying Boxcars' with 53-8074 in the front. They had all last flown with Special Operations Squadrons, specifically with California, Rhode Island and West Virginia Air National Guards. All were retired to MASDC in 1975 and their hulks were sold in 1990.

Remark
Photographer
53-8074 (cn KF-177) This C-119L entered MASDC in March 1975 and when photographed 12 years later she was clearly not going to fly out again. She was transferred to an adjacent scrapyard and is believed to have been melted into ingots since. She would have last served with one of three ANG air commando/special operations squadrons.
