Untitled
Avro 698 Vulcan B2
Waddington (WTN / EGXW)
UK - England, July 5, 2014
Remark
Photographer
G-VLCN / XH558 (cn SET12) The Vulcan commences its balletic spiral climb immediately after take-off at the RAF Waddington Air Show. RAF Waddington was one of the original Vulcan V-Bomber stations, hosting three squadrons from 1957 until 1984. The station maintains a static Vulcan exhibit on the eastern side of the airfield, so there were two Vulcans resident for the weekend of the air show.

Waddington (WTN / EGXW)
UK - England, July 6, 2014
Remark
Photographer
G-VLCN (cn SET12) there is not a lot more to say than the performance and demonstration of the Vulcan in flight is absolutely stunning. Even more so than it must have felt really at home at RAF Waddington, a former RAF Vulcan base during the Cold War era.

Avro 698 Vulcan B2
Greenham Common (EGVI) (closed)
UK - England, July 21, 1983
Remark
Photographer
XH558 (cn SET12) In the markings of 50 Squadron, based at RAF Waddington, also in the K.2 configuration. A number of Vulcans were converted to tankers because of a short-fall in tanking operations in the RAF in the mid-eighties. Currently operated by the Vulcan to the Sky Trust as G-VLCN.
