Panavia Tornado GR4
Lossiemouth (LMO / EGQS)
UK - Scotland, March 6, 2012
Remark
Photographer
ZD847 / 108 (cn 437/BS145/3199) Under tow, this jet has clearly been undergoing engine runs judging by the anti-fod grilles on the intakes. Interestingly, the aircraft carries four Paveway mission symbols below the cockpit and still wears the markings of 14 Squadron.

Curtiss P-40E Warhawk
Virginia Beach (42VA)
USA - Virginia, September 23, 2011
Remark
Photographer
N1941P / 108 (cn 18448) "Military Aviation Museum" Ex USAAF 41-35927, RAF ET573. Gerald Yagen acquired two P-40E Warhawks, both recovered from Russia in 1992. Both aircraft had gone to the Soviets in 1942 on lend-lease. They were cn 18439 (ex USAAF 41-35918, RAF ET564 and Soviet AF 1025) and the one pictured here. It was assumed to be 41-35918, but recent research, confirmed by the company in New Zealand that did the actual restoration in 2001-2003, showed that it is in fact the other one, 41-35927. Parts from 41-35918 may have been used in its restoration. [Nikon D700 / AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm]
