A4-140 / 140 (cn 140) Rare low res 1964 photo of the RAAF's second (and oldest) Caribou aircraft (Callsign VM-JMB), which was Delivered to 38 Squadron, Richmond, in March 1964. The new aircraft was displayed at the 1964 RAAF Laverton Airshow, one month after the RAAF Transport Flight Vietnam (RTFV, later 35 Sqn) became the First RAAF Unit deployed to Vietnam on 08Aug1964. This aircraft is still in Service, with 38 Squadron Townsville, where I also photographed her on 27Sep2009. She is about to retire after 45 years Service. |

TF-TOE / 140 (cn 28-20257) This airframe was owned by Flugskólinn Flugsýn before its bankruptcy few years ago. They planned to make it look like TF-TOH, but while they were in the process of putting it back together again after a repaint, they went bankrupt. The aircraft has been standing on this spot for quite a few years, without a movement. [1600 x 1067, 149mm, f/5.6, 1/320th, ISO 100] |

N8093 / 140 (cn 10776) Wow, such a powerful aircraft! Former RCAF 22111 looks like she's ready to fly out over vast prairies on her way north for another Arctic resupply mission. If only that were still the case... HP badge on the nose, N8093 has been on the register with D&G since August 2000. |
