Untitled
Lockheed P-38F Lightning
Oshkosh - Wittman Regional (OSH / KOSH)
USA - Wisconsin, July 27, 2012
Remark
Photographer
NX17630 / 17630/5757 (cn 222-5757) Formation flight between a relatively slow P-38 and a quite fast A-10. Look at the A-10 pilot watching carefully the P-38 to keep adequate distance.

Remark
Photographer
NX17630 / 17630/5757 (cn 222-5757) With the twin engines and boom, it is fairly difficult to get a good cockpit shot of this aircraft unless elevated significantly. (USAF serial # 41-7630). Assigned to the 94th Fighter Squadron, ditched in Greenland on Sept. 15, 1942 while on ferry flight to European theatre of Ops,buried in ice for 50 years hence named "Glacier Girl".
