A79-637 / 37 (cn DHA4159) The Telstars Aerobatic Team Leader's Vampire A79-637 overflies the airfield inverted, after the team performed a 'Break' at the end of their 1965 Laverton display. The Team was operated by Central Flying School (CFS) based at RAAF East Sale. The aircraft were painted Silver, with Orange DayGlo on the nose, wingtips and fins. The Team was named after a space Satellite called 'Telstar'. A79-637 was Del: to RAAF in March 1959. I also photographed A79-637 at WOL in 2008. Low res photo. Apologies for quality. |

A79-637 / 37 (cn DHA4159) I photographed the RAAF Telstars Aerobatic Team Vampires (led by A79-637) flying at the 1965 Laverton Airshow. The Team was operated by Central Flying School (CFS) based at RAAF East Sale. The aircraft were painted Silver, with DayGlo on the nose, wingtips and fins. In Mar 2008 I was surprised to find A79-637 under Restoration at the HARS Facility at Wollongong (WOL). Wow, a 42 year gap between photos of A79-637. The other Vampire at left is A79-665. |

9237 / 37 (cn 39237) "Tiger flagship" of 211. tl (tactical sq.) / 21. zTL (tactical AFB) Caslav is landing on RWY 05 from morning COMAO sortie during NATO Tiger Meet 2009. Special tiger tail was done just before NTM 2009 - first flight in new look was performed 14. 9. 2009 from Caslav directly into Kleine Brogel. 211. tl is a follower of traditions after 1. "tiger" lt (sq.) / 11. slp (fighter regiment) since 1991. Since NTM 2008 in Landivisiau has squadron in NTA probationary membership. |
