American Airlines
McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (DC-9-82)
In Flight
USA - Washington, August 1, 2009
Remark
Photographer
N424AA / 424 (cn 49336/1321) En route to Seattle from Chicago, after the amazing Oshkosh air show. In the distant we see Mt. Rainier before turning short final into Seattle. Not only was the scenery special, but this is probably my last flight on a Mad dog, since they do not fly into Miami. What a rush to fly in these planes and the power that they have during takeoff.

American Airlines
McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (DC-9-82)
Burbank (/ Glendale / Pasadena) - Bob Hope (Lockheed Air Terminal) (BUR / KBUR)
USA - California, August 31, 2009
Remark
Photographer
N424AA / 424 (cn 49336/1321) Departure from BUR and an overview of the terminal that Southwest and US Airways utilise. You can also see in the background what looks like a cloud, but is in fact a plume of smoke rising up to 20,000 feet from the wildfires that have plagued LA during a recent dry spell. Overall there is a layer of hazy smoke covering the mountains in the background [Nikon D3]
