VF-31 "Tomcatters" & VF-213 "Black Lions" Tomcats, tightly packed on the flight deck of CVN-71, somewhere in the Persian Gulf awaiting their next missions of the day. USS Theodore Roosevelt and CVW-8 were deployed during 2005 in support of "Operation Iraqi Freedom". This was the last combat cruise of the final two remaining Tomcat units, VF-31 and VF-213. |
