USA - Air Force
Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor
San Diego - Miramar MCAS (NAS) / Mitscher Field (NKX / KNKX)
USA - California, October 3, 2010
Remark
Photographer
04-4066 / FF (cn 645-4066) The light at Miramar ranges from awful to average through most of the day, only getting acceptable toward the the afternoon display of the Blue Angels. But all that turns irrelevant in the face of a USAF heritage flight with a Raptor and a Mustang!

Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon FGR4
Leuchars (St. Andrews) (ADX / EGQL)
UK - Scotland, June 16, 2014
Remark
Photographer
ZK338 / FF (cn BS099/365) The close proximity of St Andrews to Leuchars is illustrated in this shot of a 1 Squadron Typhoon taxiing out for a Runway 08 departure. The imposing St Salvators Chapel dominates the skyline whilst the red building is the famous Hamilton Grand which overlooks the Old Course.

Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor
Dayton - Wright-Patterson AFB (Wright AFB) (DWF) (closed)
USA - Ohio, April 16, 2014
Remark
Photographer
91-4003 / FF (cn 645-4003) "National Museum of the US Air Force" The USAF's most modern air superiority fighter already in the museum! ;-) This one got here because of an in-flight incident during which the max G-load of the aircraft was exceeded. The aircraft landed safely but was never to fly again. It now replaces the prototype YF-22 which was on display here before. [Nikon D800 / AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm]
