VH-ZOC / GA-Q (cn 28449) Taxying in after a practice flight. Built to USAAF order as 42-104687 but diverted to the RNZAF as Kittyhawk Mk IV NZ3215. Sold for scrap post-War and remained Asplin's Supplies, Rukuhia NZ, 1952-60. Rescued and hulk eventually purchased by Allan Arthur and exported to Australia. Restoration work at Wangaratta and Deniliquin. Restoration completed at Ardmore, NZ, 2004-6. Registered ZK-ZOC 6 April 06 (ff 11 April). Shipped to Australia Aug 06 and registered VH-ZOC 21 September 2006. |
