USA - Utah, September 28, 1983
Remark
Photographer
62-4361 / HI (cn D561) Heading west soon after getting airborne from Hill AFB, this brace of F-105Ds from the 466th TFS were bound for a range and some exhilarating low-level work.

USA - Air Force
Republic F-105F Thunderchief
In Flight
USA - Utah, February 1984
Remark
Photographer
63-8287 / HI (cn F-64) The final aerial refuelling and F-105F 63-8287 pulls away from the boom after taking a top-up for the last time. This particular aircraft was the last to land back at Hill, but not before the opportunity was taken to perform a few spirited fast passes over the airfield.

Remark
Photographer
62-4387 / HI (cn D586) The F-105’s unique wing planform is displayed to advantage as F-105D 62-4361 of the 466th TFS breaks to enter the landing pattern at Hill AFB, while the pilot of 62-4387 prepares to follow suit.

Remark

62-4299 / HI (cn D498) This is the first F-105 that I have seen, albeit only on static display. This example is located at the Jimmy Doolittle Air & Space Museum, Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California. Major General James C. Wahleithner flew this particular aircraft. He was also the Wing Commander of the 349th Air Mobility Wing at Travis AFB.
