PZ865 / JX-E This was the last Hurricane built (1944) and was used by Hawkers as a company hack, painted overall blue and registered G-AMAU. In 1950 it was entered in the Kings Cup Air Race by Princess Margaret and flown by Gp Capt Peter Townsend. It joined the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, then at Coltishall, in 1972. It is seen here at the Kemble Battle of Britain Air Show 2010.

PZ865 / JX-E PZ865 is the last Hurricane ever built, of total 14.533, from the production line at Langley, Buckinghamshire. Delivered was in the summer 1944, worn the inscription "The Last of the Many". Since 1950 worn civil registration G-AMAU but in 1960 was returned to its wartime camouflage scheme. In 1972 entered into the Memorial Flight (nowadays BBMF). Presently represents Hurricane Mk.IIC, BE581, „Night Reaper“, piloted by the Czech fighter ace Flt/Lt Karel Kuttelwascher DFC during night intruder operations from Tangmere airfield in 1942 with the RAF’s legendary No. 1 (F) Squadron.
