USA - Air Force
McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II
Birmingham - Shuttlesworth International (BHM / KBHM)
USA - Alabama, August 1988
Remark
Photographer
68-0338 / SL (cn 3383) The Alabama Air Guard facility at Birmingham airport was relatively small, but in spite of the space limitation, their air shows always attracted some real "gems" for the enthusiast. In the case, the flagship of the 131st TFW (Missouri ANG, Lambert Fld.)appears for the second consecutive year, in flawless Hill II Grays finish and an additional marking on the rudder celebrating the 30th anniversary of the F-4's first flight (note the notorious Phantom "Spook" character atop the Roman numeral 30!).

USA - Air Force
McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle
Keflavik (KEF / BIKF)
Iceland, August 1, 2006
Remark
Photographer
80-0038 / SL (cn 696/C187) Landing on runway 29 after some local flying, which was all the last contingent of fighters did at Keflavik. There was no pretense of any defensive activity. This was the last F-15 to leave on August 11 at 1130 hours, ending an American presence at Keflavik since 1951. 80-0038 was also the last 57th FS F-15 to leave when it was disbanded in 1995.

USA - Air Force
McDonnell Douglas F-15D Eagle
Keflavik (KEF / BIKF)
Iceland, August 1, 2006
Remark
Photographer
78-0571 / SL (cn 516/D011) This F-15D was the last D-model based in Keflavik, and during its stay, the squadron took up a number of non-flying personnel, that did not normally have a chance to experience flying in the units fighters. Along with the F-15Cs it also left Keflavik for the last time on August 11, at 1130 hours.
