135620 / SL (cn 726-7052) Seen long before restoration for the Pima Air & Space Museum, this is the only surviving example of four modified Neptunes operated by VAH-21 on night interdiction work over the Mekong Delta. An extensive electronic sensor suite replaced the ASW gear, including LLTV, SLAR and equipment to detect vehicle ignition systems. Armed with twin 20 mm cannon in tail plus two minigun pods and four bombs underwing. Incidentally, Wayne Mutza's superb new 'Gunships' book is highly recommended |
