Untitled
Let L-13SE Vivat
Zagreb - Lucko (LDZL)
Croatia, October 21, 2014
Remark
Photographer
9A-DSI (cn 860126) The clean and pleasant interior of the only Vivat on the Croatian register. Somewhat more complicated than a modern, purpose-built touring motor glider, the L-13SE contains almost as many controls as a classic light piston aircraft, including levers for the throttle, choke, elevator trim, airbrakes, wing flaps, cowl flaps and landing gear. Interestingly, the design is not powered by the usual Rotax or Limbach engines, but a 65 HP Walter Mikron III whose design dates back to 1938...

Helimax
Robinson R-22 Mariner
Zagreb - Lucko (LDZL)
Croatia, October 19, 2014
Remark
Photographer
9A-HMB (cn 2198M) One of only two R-22s in Croatia - and the only one still flying - HMB is seen hovertaxiing towards the helicopter start gates for a short local flight. An early Mariner model, it is equipped to carry inflatable floats on the skids for overwater operations, and is also fitted with an optional 40 liter fuel tank. But, even though it is registered in Croatia and operated by a Croatian company, it is usually based at Ljubljana (LJU/LJLJ) in neighboring Slovenia.
