S9-PSV (cn 1AJ008-13) Sierra Victor has been grounded at least since early 2008. New rules in Eastern Africa have restricted the use of Antonovs, so the future doesn't look too bright for this Polish-built plane. |

S9-BAS (cn 382-4472) This Hurk came in an interesting way to its end: on June 10th, 2005, Loki's runway was blocked by HS748 5Y-SFE which had made a gear up landing. The crew of the L100 decided to land anyway and landed hard just before the beginning of the runway. The Hercules broke in two and came to a halt next to Foxtrot Echo. Alpha Sierra got repaired, but just before she reached completion, the repair-contractor left without paying his staff. The Hurk was taken half apart again and now she is going nowhere anymore. |

G-OOAN (cn 26256/484) Wide-angle view of the spacious Star Class Premium (Premium Economy) cabin while travelling back home to Manchester from Mombasa, Kenya (flight TOM146). Taken from the rear of the forward cabin, SCP holds 63 seats with 36" seat pitch. Taken 1 hour after take-off with a total flight time of 10 hours 5 minutes. I'd spent the last 2 weeks on safari and diving with Sharks in the Indian Ocean (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM) |
