75-0043 (cn 142/A123) "Together again!" Apparently inseparable, the same pair of Eagles that formed the centerpiece of the last official sortie celebration for the 116th Fighter Wing, Georgia Air Guard at Dobbins ARB on August 30, 1995 (see photo 2034732), are now seen once again on the Dobbins transit-line almost 2 years later! They certainly look good in the colors of their new owners, the 125th Fighter Wing, Florida Air Guard at Jacksonville International Airport, which also received several other ex-116th Eagles. |

164384 / AA-505 (cn I-724) One of only 7 aircraft left in service with Attack Sqn. 75 Sunday Punchers, Oceana, VA, this was the penultimate A-6 delivered a mere 5 years before, and it was now on its way to the boneyard! The Punchers were the first operational A-6 unit, taking it directly into Vietnam combat in 1965; by March '97, the unit was one of the last two to stand down. The Intruder was fading away... NAS Atlanta t-line. |

160024 / QG-06 (cn 14526) The Marine Air Reserve once boasted several attack squadrons, among them VMA-131 Diamondbacks from NAS Willow Grove, PA. This low-viz Scooter carries the diamond stripe that was not often seen on this scheme. A few years later (c.1994), the unit phased out the A-4M and stood down, a fate shared by most sister units. |
