G-ARPR (cn 2119) Arrival of BE758 London - Stockholm. On 10 June 1965, this particular aircraft G-ARPR operated the flight BE343 from Paris, Le Bourget to London Heathrow Airport and it was the world's first fully automatic landing of a commercial airliner carrying fare-paying passenger. Note: In the background from the left a Pacific Western Airlines DC-7C and a Conair of Scandinavia DC-7.

5H-TZA (cn 310R-1333) Crashed on December 16, 2006, at 0355 UTC, into a residential area during takeoff for an air charter flight from Mbeya Airport, Tanzania. Visual meteorological conditions pevailed at the time. Two passengers were fatally injured. The pilot and three passengers were seriously injured. The aircraft was destroyed. There was ground fire. The destination of the flight was Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The photo is taken from East African Airways Super Vickers VC-10 1154 flight EC860 from Lusaka to Nairobi via a ground-stop at Dar es Salaam International airport here seen in heavy rain an thunders (Pls notice the spectators at the balcony. The "old airport" was closed in mid 1980 when the new mainbuilding was inagurated.
