159829 / SD-205 (cn 189) It gives me goosebumps to stand behind engines that once produced half enough power to push an aircraft through twice the speed of sound. This engine is roaring no more, but I tried to do it justice. I used front curtain flash, then zoomed during the remaining exposure. Taken at Wings over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. |

N254SF (cn 37514) Low approach to 17R after a low approach to 17L... this must be too much fun! This aircraft was originally delivered to the Iraqi Air Force. It was later restored and was in the hands of a number of private owners, including Charlie Hillard, who perished when the aircraft flipped after a performance at the 1996 Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, Florida. It is currently owned by by Joe Thibodeau, who flies this Sea Fury and his other aircraft, a P-51D (N51JT) at the Reno Air Races. |

60-6940 (cn 134) The M-21 is a variant of the Blackbird modified to carry drones. These drones were for flights over areas that were thought of as too dangerous for pilots to fly through, even at Mach 3 and as high as 85000 feet. |
