G-VAST (cn 28757/1117) This Virgin 747 came to Prestwick for a feature on the UK TV car program "Top Gear" as well as "Braniac"and you can see the TV presenter, Richard Hammond, doing his intro piece while standing inside one of the engines. The purpose was to run two engines at full power and two cars were driven in front of them to show how powerful jet engines are. (1/350th & F9.5 285mm) |

This is a shot of the new upper class suites cabin that is located in the nose of the 747-400. You can see here the large LCD Tv's you get, the foot rests/guest seats and the nice and classy purple lighting. G-VAST (cn 28757/1117) This is what the upper class suite seat of Virgin Atlantic looks like. This is seat is located in Zone 1 of the front nose cone of the 744. This seat offers a fully flat bed that is 6ft6" long. The foot pedestal can be used as a visitors seat and can be used so that two people can dine together. There is a 10.1" fold out LCD screen that is concealed in the left side of the seat, every seat offers aisle access and is very comfortable to fly in! (10D/17-40F4L/550EX/Stofen/ISO200) |

S2-AC* I was hanging out on my flight to JFK aboard G-VAST when Kev Cadd shouted to me, look at that plane! Here you can see a Biman Bangladesh DC-10 passing us on its way to JFK from BRU. It beat us there and we pulled up next to it at out gate at JFK! My first sighting of a passing plane burning a contrail (10D/70-200F4L with 1.4xII) |
