Canada - Air Force
Avro 683 Lancaster Mk.X
Ottawa - Rockcliffe (YRO / CYRO)
Canada - Ontario, September 19, 2014
Remark
Photographer
KB944 / NA-P (cn 37245) This Lancaster was built by Victory Aircraft Ltd at Malton, ON and was delivered to 425 'Alouette' Squadron, RCAF in May 1945 but just too late to take part in offensive operations. She was then placed in to storage but served briefly in 1952 with 404 Maritime Patrol Squadron, RCAF at Greenwood, NS. It is the most complete Lancaster X in existence, remaining very close to its wartime condition, and is now on display at the Canada Aviation & Space Museum.

Japan - Navy
Yokosuka D4Y3 Type 33 Suisei
Chino (CNO)
USA - California, July 24, 2013
Remark
Photographer
601-35 (cn 7483) This Suisei (Comet - Allied reporting name 'Judy') was recovered engineless from Babo Airfield, Indonesia in 1991 and has been restored/rebuilt by the Planes of Fame Museum to a non-flying, ground-running, display condition. A non-original radial engine has been installed so as a result the cowling profile is not quite accurate. More than 2000 'Judy's were produced and only this example and one original in Japan have survived.
