3-6407 In total105 Mirage F.1EQs in four versions plus 15 F.1BQs were delivered to Iraq Air Force between 1981 and 1991.IrAF used them extensively against Iran during the Iran-Iraq war,they were used for tactical recce,bombing,anti ship,interception and escort missions during the war with Iran.When the coalition forces planned to destroy all of IrAF ABs during the First Persian Gulf War under Operation Desert Storm in Jan 1991, Saddam commanded to relocate 145 aircraft of the air force to Iran.This one was between them. |

3-6041 / 160339 (cn H-41) IRIAF participated in Iran`s Military Day parade of 2013 with 24 airplanes consisted of 3 F-5Fs , 3 F-5E Saeghes , 3 MiG-29UBs , 3 Mirage F.1EQ/BQs , 5 F-4Es , 5 F-14As and 2 Su-24Mks. These five F-14As were flying in Sixth formation flight of the air parade. I`m sorry for low quality photo , early morning light was low and weather was hazy. |

3-7020 Tigers of Vahdati Air Base. Captain Mehdi Vahdati (Douglas C-47A flight instructor) and Major Ahmad Vahdati (2nd Fighter Squadron P-47D pilot) were killed in two different accidents in Mehrabad and near Ghale Morghi airports in early 1950`s. Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi last Shah of Iran accepted IIAF HQ request regarding to choose "Vahdati" as name of 2nd Tactical Base of IIAF on 11th March 1961 (21st Esfand 1339) to honor Vahdati brothers in recognition of their valuable services in IIAF. |

3-7361 This F-5E and its sister is mistakenly named Azarakhsh by IRIAF and HESA.But it has another secret name, Azarakhsh was constructed F-5E from scrap F-5 parts by Owj Industries in years between 1989 and 2007.But this airplane and another sample were two airworthy F-5Es of IRIAF.IRIAF used them as prototype of a F-5 Modernization program in 2004.These were received new avionic such as new radio,instrument,self defense & powerful fire control system and so on.But project delayed due to transition from Owj Industries of IRIAF to HESA. |
