N11006 (cn 193B-1018) The retirement of TWA’s L1011s came on September 3, 1997. The final flight was TW840 from LAX to JFK. After landing on Runway 31R at 1604, aircraft N11006 received a water cannon salute from Port Authority fire-fighting vehicles as it turned off taxiway Bravo onto taxiway Delta Alpha. The aircraft parked at Terminal 5 and TWA’s Lockheed era came to an end.

N320MJ (cn 20028/783) Del 02/69 to Pan Am as N891PA. Ex VR-CBN. Aircraft after it crashed at Marana on September 20, 1990 (2 k). Aircraft was taking off on its last flight, to Tucson for spares recovery (KC-135E program), when it rolled and the right wing struck the ground. Cause determined to be incorrect rudder trim due to lack of instrumentation.
