Alaska Airlines
Boeing 737-490
Seattle / Tacoma - International (SEA / KSEA)
USA - Washington, October 1, 2005
Remark
Photographer
N792AS (cn 28887/2903) Uploading live from the event, here's Alaska's proud and newest about to go through the water canon as they start up! A.net gets the first look at Alaska's Salmon Three Salmon scheme, and she's a beauty! The aircraft has been under wraps at KPAE for a long time now, and was finally unveiled today! Special features include an emblem inside the plane, and a special paint that makes the scales shimmer in the sun. To Alaska and the painting crew, as well as the artist, fantastic job!

US Airways
Airbus A320-214
Phoenix - Sky Harbor International (Municipal) (PHX / KPHX)
USA - Arizona, August 23, 2005
Remark
Photographer
N109UW (cn 1065) The inaugurations have come to an end, but with a big bang! PHX held the biggest party for the entire flight schedule, and was a treat to attend! Here you can see the water canon salute as the merged airlines' new scheme rolls onto the ramp in Phoenix at the America West hangar. This aircraft brings a full cabin filled with all crew in different uniforms and the CEO's of both America West and US Airways! I must say, after seeing it in person at up close, I really do like the new scheme!

Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX)
USA - California, June 18, 2005
Remark
Photographer
I'll start by saying that this was Maryland One's third day in service. The rumors are true in that it smells like a new car! When we departed OAK, it was overcast and rainy, but Maryland One saved the day and brought us here; beautiful, sunny LAX! You've all seen the "half" overviews, but here's the entire airport in all its glory, full of TONS of aircraft, including the An-124-100 Ruslan, Wunala Dreaming 747, and so much more! Later would come the Dreamliner, and all the gates here are full to the brim!

United Express (SkyWest Airlines)
Embraer EMB-120ER Brasilia
San Francisco - International (SFO / KSFO)
USA - California, June 24, 2007
Remark
Photographer
N293SW (cn 120320) Add another aircraft type to the United new color livery list! Introducing you to the first United Express EMB-120 painted in United's new color scheme! I know many have been awaiting to see this aircraft painted in this livery, while many of us thought it would never happen based on word of mouth. Hopefully we'll see more added to the list of painted Brasilias, as she looks quite nice and stylish! Thanks to Captain Van Vorst and First Officer Lewis for the speedy camera delivery.

ATA Airlines
Boeing 757-33N
In Flight
USA - Hawaii, August 9, 2005
Remark
Photographer
N554TZ (cn 32588/985) ATA flight 4618 lifts off from Kahului, Maui and takes me home on the very same aircraft that brought me here. Check out the many reefs below, along with the abundant amount of palms waving in the windy air as the surf looks rocky, yet the ocean quite clear! The trip was wonderful, and you can bet I'll be back to Maui soon enough. My hat goes off to the wonderful ATA crew who made the final flight of my week long vacation enjoyable to the very end.

US Airways
Airbus A320-214
Phoenix - Sky Harbor International (Municipal) (PHX / KPHX)
USA - Arizona, August 23, 2005
Remark
Photographer
N109UW (cn 1065) Here she is in all of her glory! I was granted access to a location way up high to get eye level with the cockpit, and I must say, the livery is now growing on me! Seeing it in person really makes it look great, and I hope this photo will help justify what I am saying! I also had the pleasure of meeting both CEO's of each merged airline, and their explanations of the new livery really gave some great insight as to what they were trying to accomplish! To the "new" US Airways: I wish you the best!

ExpressJet Airlines
Embraer EMB-145LR (ERJ-145LR)
Monterey - Peninsula (MRY / KMRY)
USA - California, June 7, 2007
Remark
Photographer
N13908 (cn 145465) ExpressJet is looking good in it's new paint job while MRY's overall ramp is about as busy as you'll ever see it at one time. The morning rush here consists of this ExpressJet to Ontario, CA, the American Eagle Saab 340 to Los Angles, CA, the Delta Connection CRJ to Salt Lake City, Utah, the United Express CRJ-700 to Denver, CO, one United Express EMB-120 to San Francisco, CA, and finally a US Airways Express CRJ-200 to Phoenix, AZ.

Delta Connection (ExpressJet Airlines)
Embraer EMB-145XR (ERJ-145XR)
San Francisco - International (SFO / KSFO)
USA - California, July 10, 2007
Remark
Photographer
N11181 (cn 14500904) ExpressJet is seen here operating as Delta Flight #7755 to LAX. Delta has several flights a day operated by ExpressJet doing this particular segment, and the loads are thus far doing okay. Note the new ExpressJet logo as the "Operated By" signature on the nose of the aircraft...still don't know what to think about this livery, but it's beginning to grow on me! Hopefully this route brings better yields than that of the fatal demise of Frontier Airlines LAX-SFO service on the EMB-170.

Remark

N293SW (cn 120320) The first EMB-120 for United Express' new color scheme has just arrived into MOD from SFO and will turn around to SFO again an hour later. This livery looks awesome on this plane!

Qantas
Boeing 747-438/ER
San Francisco - International (SFO / KSFO)
USA - California, March 29, 2006
Remark
Photographer
VH-OEJ (cn 32914/1331) A ceremony to remember! Qantas flight 73 is getting water canon salute as the inaugural service flight into SFO with nonstop service from SYD. Prior to this aircrafts arrival, Mr. John Travolta flew in with his 707 fittingly painted up in Qantas' older livery, while Qantas sent in Wanula Dreaming for the first day of service. If you look hard enough under the fuse of the 747, you'll see Travolta's aircraft in the background. The celebration was fun, and I wish Qantas the best in SFO!

Remark

G-BNLM (cn 24055/795) Just another beautiful day in San Francisco, CA, enabling me to bring you a shot from under the wing and wide angle view up with a bright blue sky! As the engines state, "Rolls Royce" are proudly adorned and painted on this heavy Speedbird as she prepares for a flight back to London Heathrow!

United Express (SkyWest Airlines)
Bombardier CRJ-700 (CL-600-2C10)
Aspen - Pitkin County / Sardy Field (ASE / KASE)
USA - Colorado, July 25, 2007
Remark
Photographer
N744SK (cn 10200) Loaded up and ready to be sent out to Denver, CO, N744SK makes multiple trips into Aspen, CO for the day. This airport barely qualified to have the CRJ700 fly in, and the winter proved to be a major issue with barometric pressure playing a big role in the cancellations during the winter for the CRJ700. It's now summer, and the RJ has now been recertified to better work through the winter in Aspen with a max pressure of 10,000 ft. Hopefully this winter proves to be better for us! Aspen is pretty awesome!
