Untitled
Bugatti 100
Oshkosh - Pioneer (WS17)
USA - Wisconsin, May 28, 2006
Remark
Photographer
The beauty of this aircraft is difficult to capture with a camera. Hopefully my meager attempt will be enough to pique some curiousity. Very unique shape and design. Twin engines amidship drive a pair of counter-rotating propellers. Three stabilizing surfaces on the tail, one housing the tailwheel. Restored by EAA and on display at their museum in Oshkosh (at Pioneer Airport).

North American P-51D Mustang
Oshkosh - Wittman Regional (OSH / KOSH)
USA - Wisconsin, July 24, 2006
Remark

N8677E / C5-T (cn 122-41405) This shot was taken from below looking up at the underside of the P-51's nose as the skies over Oshkosh darkened ominously. The fill flash against the dark boiling skies overhead give the plane in this image a sense of being removed from the background.

Untitled (Eclipse Aviation)
Eclipse 500
Oshkosh - Wittman Regional (OSH / KOSH)
USA - Wisconsin, July 27, 2006
Remark

N508JA (cn 000001) Cockpit of this very small light jet. Interior room in this one is cramped if comparing to existing business jets. The cabin is more in line with twin engine planes such as a Baron (maybe a touch bigger).

Untitled
Gulfstream Aerospace G-V-SP Gulfstream G550
Milwaukee - General Mitchell International (MKE / KMKE)
USA - Wisconsin, April 9, 2006
Remark
Photographer
N985JC (cn 5083) Pure Elegance! The slender body and large but graceful wings really set the G-V's apart from the crowd. Does anyone know if this G-V is related to N585JC? Same owner? I wonder because the paintjob and reg is almost identical. Update: Thanks to Bob Holland and Ryan for the correction on type (G550). Apparently belongs to Johnson Controls and is based here in MKE.

N318SL (cn 001) Afterburners on in high performance climb. Note the crumpled nacelle near the rocket nozzle on Space Ship One. The scars of spaceflight!
