HP-1520CMP (cn 33707/1376) [Canon 1D Mark III + Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L] When I planned this year's trip to SXM, I booked one-way tickets on two separate carriers, so I could get a few extra hours of spotting in. About an hour prior to my airport check-in to return home, fellow A.netter Marseno Bremer and I looked in astonishment, as Copa 134 floated low over the water and made an extremely low approach over Maho Beach. It was the highlight of my trip, and left me speechless in the minutes following the landing. |

HP-1376CMP (cn 30497/574) [Canon 1D Mark III + Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L] Copa was responsible for 2 very memorable moments during my trip to St. Maarten. This 737-700 hovered at around 50 feet to the end of the runway before blasting upwards over Maho Beach. In this photo, you can see the landing gear is almost completely stowed very low to the ground, and the runway piano keys are reflecting off the belly of the aircraft. |

N106US (cn 1044) [Canon 1D Mark III + Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L] Continuing its historic move to the Carolinas Aviation Museum, the "Miracle on the Hudson" aircraft travels down I-95 in Newark, DE. Earlier in the day, N106US crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge from New Jersey. The additional logos on the fuselage are companies helping sponsor the move, and if you look closely, the white support vehicle is branded in a US Airways colors. This is my 500th photo in the database. |

PT-MVQ (cn 968) [Canon 7D + Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM] On September 26, 2012, this TAM A330-200 made a tower fly-by on Runway 22R, following a go-around on Runway 22L. The tower confirmed that the nose gear was stuck perpendicular to the plane, and the A330 set up for an approach to Runway 31L, with emergency vehicles standing by. As the main gear touched, the nose gear moved back to its normal position, and the aircraft rolled out safely. |

A6-EHB (cn 757) [Canon 7D + Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM] The conventional wisdom is to not take pictures of backlit aircraft when it's cloudy out. But if the aircraft passes through a beam of sunshine, which is reflected off the water, the results can be stunning. |
