Since the plane's incident on 13 April 2010 as flight CX780 from Surabaya, Indonesia facing control problems on both engines when approaching Hong Kong Airport it is not back in service yet. |

Assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 163 (HMM-163) based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, the squadron is nicknamed 'Ridge Runners'. The engagement of this squadron founded in December 1951 goes back to the Vietnam War (the Battle of A Shau) and includes the campaigns 'Operation Enduring Freedom' and 'Operation Iraqi Freedom'. Currently the squadron is commanded by Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Joseph P. Levreault, USMC. |

5151 / 61-PH (cn 382-5151) The best spotting days for me are when you are out there and suddenly a plane appears which you would have never thought about. Like this French Air Force C-130. Obviously also the people that can be seen in the background were caught by surprise as they all looked at this plane about to touchdown on runway 25R. |
