EW-275TI (cn 00347210) Approaching the runway in heavy rain in the late afternoon, with the runway light well visible through the wet windows of the An-12's glase nose. Seconds later a go-around was initiated to demonstrate the performance of this freighter. Built in 1970, it was registered as RA-13392 in may 1993 and operated by Airstars, and later by Kosmos Aviation. Many thanks to the great Ruby Star crew, Airevents and Merlintour, without their connections and organisation this photo would not have been possible to take. |

N803MH (cn 3735) 10mm wideangle view of the modern EC-130 cabin, while turining over the coast of Molokai Island. Notice the small yellow bag everybody is wearing around the waste. It's a life-vest, as we were flying a lot over open water between Maui, Molokai and Lanai. The small camera on the upper right corner of the middle window is one of a few mounted in- and outside of the helicopter, for capturing all of the flight on a DVD. Nice equipment! |

RA-96011 (cn 74393201008) What a spacious cabin this IL-96 has, because of the missing central baggage racks. I also liked the personal fan mounted in every seat just in front of you, instead the ones overhead. This flight from Beijing to Moscow was planed with a B777, but instead we got this IL-96. I didn't mind at all ;-) |
