JA81** (Photo 2 of 4) Touchdown, but at a huge angle to the centreline. I can't even image what the crew are thinking at this point. |

JA81** (Photo 4 of 4) The pilot miraculously manages to straighten it up and complete the landing roll...and they only burst a couple of tires and caused minor damage to the number 4 engine pod. I still can't believe what I saw. |

JA81** (Photo 3 of 4) Just after touchdown. Compare to the previous photo how he has slid sideways. He now has full left aileron and some rudder to try and get it back. I thought I was going to see a plane crash. |

JA81** (Photo 1 of 4) Another NCA showing us all what not to do. There is only a slight crosswind in the windsock and he's over the runway, but the next photo shows it all going wrong. |

HL74** I must say that having seen all these wild Korean approaches, I will think twice before flying them!! Here is a 747-400 going around after getting it all wrong. |

VR-HY* The Cathay 747-200 was slow to start rolling, while the A320 was getting closer. Eventually, the A320 touched down when the Cathay was still on the runway. A bit too close for comfort!! |

PK-PLV (cn 382-4826) I saw this land on the wednesday, and here it is on the Sunday. This aircraft crashed into the sea shortly after takeoff following an engine failure at low speeds. Half of the 12 crew members on board died. |
