Here she is, the month old 16R/34L at Denver. It's 16,000' x 200' of pure excitement, making it the longest paved runway in North America. Taken from a C-172 during a night time and instrument currency flight with my bud Tony DiTirro. Sony F717 |

Short final to 27 at Lindbergh International. It was really cool flying over all the terraces and buildings on the approach. Departed from Front Range (FTG), CO earlier that day. It was a great finish to an awsome flight!Sony F717 |

N12170 (cn 17261857) Taken from the west of the Old Stapleton site at 1,000AGL. Here you can see where house have now taken the place of the three east/west parallel runways. The spared control tower is in the lower left. Sony F717 |

The lonely control tower at the old Stapleton site. The tower has been saved, having "landmark value". From N12170. Sony F717 |

Yet another view of the dearly departed Stapleton site. This taken on climbout from Allegiant Air Flight 41 (N861GA) headed to Vegas. We were just through 10,000' at this point (roughly 4500' above the ground). The warehouses on the left are right where the threshold of 35R was located. There is almost no indication that there were runways on the south side of the site anymore. Sony F717 |
