Untitled
Saunders-Roe SR-45 Princess
Off-Airport - Calshot
UK - England, July 1964
Remark
Photographer
G-ALU* 3 built. These two (G-ALUO and 'P) were cocooned in 1952 before completion. De-cocooned in 1966 anticipating use by Aero Spacelines, they were however scrapped across the Solent at Southampton that year. The third (G-ALUN) flew over a 19 month period, was cocooned in 1954 and scrapped in '67. This photo by my Father Brian Green. At lower centre the wing-tip float is in the stowed position.

9V-BFF (cn 19772/217) The "Waving Deck" as it was called at Paya Lebar was quite good, even after they glassed it in and air-conditioned it.

9M-MBF (cn 20587/308) The first and longest lasting of four variations on the MAS colours before the "malaysia" rebranding. The inaugural BA/SQ Concorde prepares for launch in the background, parked so as to expose the "correct" side to the crowds.
