Glasgow - Prestwick (PIK / EGPK)
UK - Scotland, January 20, 2006
Remark
Photographer
ZS-OSI (cn 46098/516) A heavy shower passed through the field and a very lucky break in the clouds after it shows off the big water spray effect as this classic aircraft departs from Runway 31 (400mm shot). It was testing new cockpit equipment before heading back to Manston.

Hamburg (- Fuhlsbuttel) (HAM / EDDH)
Germany, April 11, 2005
Remark
Photographer
D-ABIW (cn 24945/2063) This engine on the 737 required some cleaning inside from Lufthansa Technik and from what I could gather it appeared to have had a bird strike. (10D ISO 100 1/125th at F6.7 400mm)

N780BA (cn 24310/778) Boeing's Dreamlifter departing Prestwick after a fuel stop and on it's way to Charleston USA with more construction parts for the new Dreamliner passenger aircraft. There was a 27 knot crosswind as it rotated and you can see from the angle on departure it is leaning into the Wind.

Air France
Boeing 777-328/ER
Edinburgh - Turnhouse (EDI / EGPH)
UK - Scotland, February 2, 2008
Remark
Photographer
F-GSQR (cn 35677/579) The first visit to Edinburgh of a Boeing 777-300 departing back to Paris Orly after bringing in the French National Rugby team here to play Scotland. A heavy rain shower had just passed through the Airfield so the 777 produced lots of Water Spray and created what looked like three mini clouds on the Runway.

LZ-HMW (cn 85A707) An overview at 9-30am of the full International Pier at Glasgow Airport with the Balkan Holidays TU154 parked on Stand 32. Other notables are both Continental 757's which doesn't normally happen as one was late leaving and an Atlanta 747 sits on Stands 30 for a flight to Orlando later that day.

British Midland Airways - BMA
Embraer EMB-145EP (ERJ-145EP)
Edinburgh - Turnhouse (EDI / EGPH)
UK - Scotland, March 22, 2004
Remark
Photographer
G-RJXC (cn 145153) Two aircraft pointing in different directions looks odd but this happens every day at Edinburgh because the taxiways do not connect up with the end of the Runways 24 and 06 so aircraft have to backtrack for departure like the Axis 737 in the background is doing.
