Aerospatiale-BAC Concorde 102
London - Heathrow (LHR / EGLL)
UK - England, October 10, 2003
Remark
Photographer
G-BOAE (cn 212) How lucky can you get. All week Concorde was running late with arrivals/departures only after sunset. Today she was right on time, but the weather was lousy all day. However just as she came on short final, the sun came out setting her in beautiful evening light . . . WOW! Canon 10D, 100-400L @ 400mm [+50% digital crop], handheld 1/100, f/8.0; IS is a great thing on big glass!

British Airways
Aerospatiale-BAC Concorde 102
London - Heathrow (LHR / EGLL)
UK - England, October 12, 2003
Remark
Photographer
G-BOAC (cn 204) Late afternoon arrival of Concorde as BA002. After she landed, several other airplanes had to perform a go-around due to a deflated tyre on G-BOAC, while the runway was being checked and cleaned for debris. Only when looking at the photo's at home, I found out that its RH front tyre on the right main landing gear was already deflated and deformed on approach! Looks like the new Michelin NZG tyre performed as advertised and did not blow catastrophically. Photo 3 of 4.

KLM - Royal Dutch Airlines
Boeing 747-206BM(SUD)
Amsterdam - Schiphol (AMS / EHAM)
Netherlands, January 2, 2004
Remark
Photographer
PH-BUN / UN-030 (cn 21660/389) Served almost twenty-five years in active duty. Having entered into service with KLM in 1979, gone through a huge operation in the mid eighties were a –300 spec Stretched Upper Deck [SUD] was added, PH-BUN was retired in December 2003. Now enjoying a well deserved rest, although not really comfortable in this cold winter weather. Every time an aircraft roars by at the adjacent runway, a piece of snow fell of the fuselage.

Eindhoven (- Welschap) (EIN / EHEH)
Netherlands, May 10, 2006
Remark
Photographer
How do you handle 35+ charter flights when you have only 7 gate positions? Simple, you unload passengers as fast as possible, and cramp the aircraft at all available ramps as tight as possible! Eindhoven hosted the UEFA Cup Final [FC Sevilla – Middlesborough: 4-0] resulting in many additional flights, mainly from Spain. Great weather and good atmosphere permitted this nice airport overview, a sight that will not be seen again with no less than 29 aircraft visable in this photo.

Remark
Photographer
N5017V / 117 (cn 32430/423) The B777-300ER seen here crossing a Dutch canal. This aircraft will see longer water-crossings than this. While returning from the 2003 Le Bourget airshow, this aircraft stopped over at AMS to participate in the official commissioning of the new satellite ATC tower.

KLM Cityhopper

Amsterdam - Schiphol (AMS / EHAM)
Netherlands, June 7, 2004
Remark
Photographer
PH-KZO / ZO-018 (cn 11538) Cockpit photo at 1600 pix. Check out captains notes on his take-off sheet in the centre of the panel: V1 130 kts, Vr 130 kts, V2 136 kts. Also note the standby altimiter showing below sealevel. AMS Schiphol airport is -12 ft MSL. Although over 16 years old, the F70/100 cockpit still looks very modern and clean. Nice watch!

Remark
Photographer
J-5011 (cn 1351/SFC011) Believe it or not, but this photo was taken from outside the airport perimiter. Yes folks, you can get this close to the action at Gilze Rijen AFB, offering splendid photo opportunities from public road, and local police are very helpful and understanding too. Special tail coloursheme. Canon 10D + 100-400 L IS.
