N584UA (cn 26706/559) Parallel landing in progress while UA 744 (N104UA) squeezes in between the two runways. Also under US A321 front landing gear is a DL 757 on approach for OAK. Want to see how this scene looks from a bird's eye perspective? Check out photo 777174 by Ben Wang. |

N219UA (cn 30551/318) This is something I've never seen before. Two UA 777's were instructed to position and hold on both 28L and 28R simultaneously. I was hoping they'd drag race down the runway :) But N219UA on 28L was cleared first and N206UA on 28R about 3 minutes later. I got an email from Keith, the ATC on duty at that time. He said that the basic rule at SFO is to never load both runways simultaneously. But both 777's were ready to go and there was no aircraft on final so he could load both runways. |

9V-SVI (cn 32316/412) Here's a another shot of runway 1R/19L. SQ B777 is seen here climbing out of Rwy 10L, having rotated just before the intersection with Rwy 1L/19R. Slightly above the horizon is AF A340 on final for 19L. Due to the wind condition today, SFO is using reverse configuration (19L/R for arrival and 10L/R for departure). It looked like a sunny day in the photo, but as the day progressed, the weather actually worsened. Later in the afternoon the rain moved in and they switched all landing and departure to 10L/R. |

PH-BQK / QK-010 (cn 29399/499) Here's an overview of runway 1R/19L with some crabbing action courtesy of today's crosswind (compare the airplane's heading vs the runway heading). Due to the wind condition today, SFO is using reverse configuration (19L/R for arrival and 10L/R for departure). |

N***** Here's a shot of runway 19L and 19R parallel landing... (or should I say parallel crabbing?) in progress. Compare the heading of both airplanes vs the runway. Due to the easterly crosswind, SFO is using reverse configuration (19L/R for arrival and 10L/R for departure). On short final for 19L is US Aiways A321 and trailing behind for 19R is Air Canada A321. |

N782UA (cn 26948/57) Onboard UA831 SFO-NGO. This is the Economy Plus cabin. The load was light today and there weren't too many passengers here as evidenced by the number of dark monitors. You can see our current position on the monitor in front of me (this was about 45 minutes after departure). The curtained seats on the right is for the crew rest area. |

9V-SGA (cn 492) Despite being great seats they are with generous pitch, I still can't imagine sitting in that middle seat with strangers on your left and right on a 18 hr LAX-SIN run. This was my empty SQ155 CGK-SIN which I really enjoyed. I dedicate this photo to the SQ stewardess who smiled seeing me taking this photo. |

JA707A (cn 27037/247) View of the forward-looking "gear cam" as we came to our gate. It sure makes an interesting show during take off and landing. But I can imagine it'd be a bit scary during landing with strong crosswind. |
